Of all the fantastic seasons in Cape Town, February and March is pretty special as a variety of Disa’s and King Protea flower at this time. Michael, Anel and Anke, researchers at the CEBHC, recently embarked on a walk up Table Mountain to view the beautiful Red Diza flowers and Kind Protea. The Disa is a large African orchid genus, where up to 144 species is found in Southern Africa with many being found on Table Mountain. The CEBHC hikers traversed the mountain and found their treasure along the Aqueduct path and close to the river and dam areas. The team thoroughly enjoyed the hike and seeing the wonders of creation.
