This week Charles Wiysonge is participating in the 28th Meeting of the African Advisory Committee on Health Research and Development (AACHRD) in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, from 20 to 21 March 2014. The objectives of this meeting, organised by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa (AFRO), are to review and adopt the proposed Research for Health Strategy for the WHO African Region, provide input into the AFRO proposal by the CEWG (Consultative Expert Working Group on Research and Development: Financing and Coordination) recommendations, and progress on demonstration projects, develop mechanisms for better engagement, consultation, and feedback between EDCTP and African Member States and provide guidance to the organisation of the African Forum for Health Research.
